VESTA
In Ancient Rome, Vesta was an elemental goddess, represented by eternal fire and flame. She came with the hearth fire in every home and was also present in public spaces and temples. Anywhere there was a flame, so was Vesta. This fragrance softly and seductively creates a warm halo of scent. A luminous perfume, Vesta also hints at the asteroid of the same name that was discovered in 1807. It embodies clarity from afar, luminosity up close.
A fruity chypre, Vesta’s perfume builds on a floral facet with notes of rose, freesia and jasmine further softened by balmy, musky base notes. Greener notes of moss and mandarin give the perfume a luminous and crystalline balance. Fresh and floral, the scent mirrors the transparency of the alabaster container that lights up, composing a warm halo: Vesta suggests a luminous presence.

NOTES:
Top: Bergamot, Labdanum, Moss
Middle: Freesia, Jasmine, Rose
Base: Tangerine, Moss, Musk

BURN TIME
The Alabaster candles burn for approximately 55-60 hours. Please follow the instructions enclosed with your candle to get the most out of it.

HOW IT SMELLS
Vesta smells creamy and luscious. The fruity sweetness with the florals and then the smooth, gentle earthy base actually smells reminiscent of a luxurious fragrance. A floral at its heart, Vesta has hints of bright fruit then the mellow grounding of earth in the base.

LORE LOVES
We love to imagine Vesta gracing the most luxurious room, perhaps it is all white with only the most tasteful additions. Vesta smells gentle and elegant, almost like the way really, really expensive white silk feels.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 1643, Trudon is the oldest wax manufacturer in the world.
In 1640s Paris, Claude Trudon, a convenience store owner, began to make tapered candles with a new methodology he had developed, utilising a special blend of beeswax and vegetable wax. His high-quality candles rapidly gained popularity, as they didn’t warp, smoke or splutter, and therefore didn’t cause fires!
In 1702, Trudon opened a factory so that their highly sought-after candles could be manufactured on a larger scale. Before long, their secret wax formula (still used today!) attracted the attention of the Crown. The house of Trudon became the candle provider to the Royal Court of Louis XIV, as well as many of the great churches of France. Louis XIV was so impressed with their candles that he issued a seal of approval with his official family crest. This crest can now be seen affixed to every Trudon product, with the addition of the motto “Deo regique laborant”, which means: “they (the bees) work for God and the King”, a nod to the creature that made their successful wax formula possible!
By the mid-17th century, Trudon had become the largest wax manufacturer in France. As candle makers to the Royal Court, Trudon were commissioned to make candles for many French icons – from Louis XIV to Marie Antoinette to Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon actually commissioned Trudon to make a candle for the birth of his son – rumoured to be the only gift he ever gave him – a black candle made in his likeness, adorned in gold.
