Dirty Gold Digger is a fragrance for dream chasers, risk takers and destiny shapers. Heroising Australia’s olfactory liquid gold, eucalyptus oil, simply spritz to experience your own EUREKA moment!

HOW IT WEARS
Dirty Gold Digger begins with the lighter, brighter notes of zesty yuzu and green cardamom before revealing its herbaceous, botanical heart. After a minute or so on the skin, you pick up the eucalyptus – photorealistic, foresty and even a little mentholic, which is complemented perfectly by the native bush mint (which smells like a cross between mint and tea tree). The dry down however becomes more woody and soft – less the leaves of the trees, more the bark and branches. Sandalwood, cedar, amyris and tonka together create a soft, creamy, resinous bed for the other notes to settle down on. This fragrance, though natural, has great lasting power and will stay on the skin for 6-8 hours.
LORE LOVES
What a spectacular celebration of Australian natives this fragrance is! Don’t be scared by the eucalyptus, it doesn’t smell like cleaning products, rather a real eucalyptus leaf crushed in your hand when you’ve gone on a bush walk. While this is a woody scent, its citrus and herbal notes mean it’s never too heavy, so can be worn in all climates, throughout every season. It has a distinctly uplifting, optimistic feeling to it, like a ditty played on a gumleaf by your grandad. Dirty Gold Digger really captures the hardy, resilient beauty of Australian flora – while it exists in tough, arid conditions, it not only survives, but flourishes.
ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 2019 by Craig Andrade, The Raconteur (“The Storyteller”) is an artisanal luxury fragrance brand specialising in Australian native botanicals and plant extracts.
Having attended one of the world’s most prestigious fragrance schools in Grasse, France, and trained by Elise Pioch Balzac, Andrade knows his perfume. Working with world leader in natural perfumery, Mandy Aftel, he has created Australian botanical extracts and fragrances for use in collaboration with Troye Sivan for Tsu Lange Yor, Paspaley and Cult Design.
“My perfumery practice straddles beauty, art, history, science, botany, geography, and physiology. It comprises rich layers of storytelling and meaning. My focus is on making natural fragrances that combine these elements and provide both pleasure and purpose.” – Craig Andrade
As a fragrance house, The Raconteur is about telling the story of the scent of Australia – a story about the quiet beauty of what was always there. They aim to not only showcase the better-known Australian botanicals (sandalwood, boronia, lemon myrtle, etc) but the rarer ones too – Australia has over 18,000 unique native botanicals, and new ones are being discovered all the time!
All of The Raconteur fragrances are comprised of solely natural ingredients (100% plant derived) and are all vegan and cruelty free.
