Cloud 9 Juice… the perfect Australian holiday, now liquified, and of course wearable!
How about a stay in picturesque Byron Bay? Dips in azure waters, lighthouse sunrises. Basking on lush dunes, sunbathing in a coconut haze carried by salty trade winds.
Don’t feel like the beach? What about a stay in the Hinterlands? Listen to rainforest jazz with a chilled rosé in hand. Dance all night, then cool off in sparkling waterfalls under the moon.
Wherever you choose to be in our sunburnt country, the landscape and native botanicals are there to keep you cool in the hottest of summers. Kick back, relax, and float away on Cloud 9.

HOW IT WEARS
Opening with the fresh and watery notes of cucumber, sea salt and minty shiso, as Cloud 9 Juice wears a little you begin to pick up the watermelon note. It’s not a sweet watermelon, rather more evocative of the green bit of the watermelon between the flesh and the rind – cool, crisp and even a little green. Jasmine Sambac adds a tropical warmth to the fragrance, before it settles down to fresh woods. White cypress, lemon ironbark and cedarwood give the scent more lasting power without compromising its freshness, adding a crisp earthiness to the composition. Cloud 9 Juice easily (and breezily) lasts 6-8 hours of refreshing wear on the skin.
LORE LOVES
Cloud 9 Juice is a fragrance true to its name – it’s an uplifting yet tranquil, eliciting the kind of feeling that can only be brought on by knowing you have a few good weeks (or months) of your holiday left. It’s fresh, crisp, and even a little aquatic, not too sweet, and still has a natural, grounded feeling because of the native botanicals used.
ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 2019 by Craig Andrade, The Raconteur (“The Storyteller”) is an artisanal luxury fragrance brand specialising in Australian native botanicals and plant extracts.
Having attended one of the world’s most prestigious fragrance schools in Grasse, France, and trained by Elise Pioch Balzac, Andrade knows his perfume. Working with world leader in natural perfumery, Mandy Aftel, he has created Australian botanical extracts and fragrances for use in collaboration with Troye Sivan for Tsu Lange Yor, Paspaley and Cult Design.
“My perfumery practice straddles beauty, art, history, science, botany, geography, and physiology. It comprises rich layers of storytelling and meaning. My focus is on making natural fragrances that combine these elements and provide both pleasure and purpose.” – Craig Andrade
As a fragrance house, The Raconteur is about telling the story of the scent of Australia – a story about the quiet beauty of what was always there. They aim to not only showcase the better-known Australian botanicals (sandalwood, boronia, lemon myrtle, etc) but the rarer ones too – Australia has over 18,000 unique native botanicals, and new ones are being discovered all the time!
All of The Raconteur fragrances are comprised of solely natural ingredients (100% plant derived) and are all vegan and cruelty free.
