This fragrance diverges from the brand’s conceptual myths, focusing entirely on a single note rather than a story. In perfumery, this type of fragrance is called a soliflore, a name that stems from a type of vase designed to hold a single flower. In this case… a vase holding an enormous tree.
Pines are the most abundant organisms on the planet, measured by mass. Reaching heights of up to 100 meters, they are also some of the largest living things. Some of the oldest too, Methuselah, a 4856 year old bristlecone pine in the US is the oldest known living individual plant, while the spruce Old Tjikko in Sweden has a clonal root system twice that age. The first ever pine trees evolved over 300 million years ago, outdating both dinosaurs and the Pole Star.
While the concept is minimal, the fragrance is massive, designed to evoke all the facets of PINE. From the fresh spruce shoot. To the sweet and sacred smelling sap. The dry woody aroma of bark and dead needles blanketing an earthy forest floor.

HOW IT WEARS
PINE begins bright, green, clean and fresh, like an icy breeze passing through a dense, dark green forest of pine trees. As it wears, it dries out a little bit, like a pine needle that’s fallen off the tree and onto the forest floor. The dry-down is the wood of the pine – rich in sap and tall as the sky. Due to the organic realism of this scent, it’s kind of hard to describe. It’s just… PINE. Like all Stora Skuggan fragrances, this scent has fabulous wear and will give you 8+ hours on the skin.
