Bois Noir EDP 100ml

- Description
With an elixir of dark and precious woods and the sweetness of rich Ambers, Robert Piguet’s Bois Noir is an avant-garde concoction. Bois Noir tells the story of black wood as the name suggests, it relies on rich woods and warm balsams to elegantly tell its story, yet the result is radiant, nuanced, and refined.
Sandalwood and Patchouli form the bittersweet heart of the composition, with Guaiac wood lending its smoky twist. The layer of Cedarwood softens the darkness of Bois Noir and sets the stage for the caressing touch of Amber and Musk. Bois Noir is a sophisticated and opulent fragrance; perfect for those who aren’t afraid to make a bold statement. And likewise, perfect for those who love rich, woody scents, yet yearn for the signature Piguet refinement at the same time.

ABOUT THE BRAND
An iconic French perfume house, Robert Piguet truly shaped perfumery as we know it today.
In 1918, Swiss-born Piguet moved to Paris to pursue his dream of fashion design and dressmaking, beginning his career at legendary houses Poiret and Redfern.
In 1938, Piguet opened the House of Robert Piguet, where he gained notoriety for his elegant silhouettes the contemporary style of his designs. Through the House of Robert Piguet, he trained the likes of Hubert de Givenchy, Christian Dior, Pierre Balmain and Marc Bohan. Dior personally credits Piguet for teaching him the “virtues of simplicity through which true elegance must come.”
While Piguet’s impact on fashion is indisputable, it is his legacy in the world of perfume that made Robert Piguet legendary. Working with perfumer Germaine Cellier in the late 40s, Piguet’s legendary fragrances Bandit and Fracas ushered in a completely new era of perfumery. They were said to have a feel characteristic of his trademarks in fashion, with a “strict adherence to good taste, true luxury, and an innate sense of seduction.”
Most famous for the creation of Fracas – a fragrance worn by many a celebrity, from Grace Jones to Grace Kelly, Madonna to Mae West – Robert Piguet has achieved international cult status as a fragrance house.
