It’s fair to say that when it comes to joyful and distinctive designs there aren’t many artists like The Printed Peanut. With a similar love of taking inspiration from old print ephemera as well as injecting humour into designs, Archivist has collaborated with Louise Lockhart, the creative behind the business, to produce a fun and really rather striking range of matchboxes. Inspired by Mexican folk art, Louise originally created these designs using tomato puree tins and scissors.

Designed by The Printed Peanut, printed on a vintage windmill press with silver detailing for some extra elegance. Stick colour may vary from colour shown in image. Contains 125 matches, each measuring 100mm long. Dimensions 110 x 110 x 50 mm.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Started by couple Sarah and William Allardice, Archivist Gallery was founded with a view to offer British Letterpress printed cards and stationery of the highest quality. The brand started in the archives of the British Natural History Museum, but now works collaborating with incredible designers from all around the world.
Archivist Gallery are the proud owners of Britain’s largest dedicated Letterpress printing facility, and are dedicated to quality and integrity, rejecting the notion of unfettered consumerism, instead focusing on conscious giving.
Their range has recently expanded to include matches, soaps, and bath products – which obviously all smell great, but also look absolutely adorable!
