Creative approach: Create a bouquet of Tuberose with Absolute and Enfleurage of Tuberose petals. Nigeria Ginger amplifies the whiteness of the flower. Chinese Tea Leaf Essence and a Green Pear accord underline the vegetal character of this stemmed flower.

HOW IT WEARS
From its first spray, French Flower is soft and clean on the skin from the burst of fresh cut dewy pear and tuberose. As the fragrance warms, a beautiful rounded aroma blooms. A common, and appreciated theme throughout all of Matiere Premiere fragrances is their longevity on the skin and wearability which comes from his appreciation of quality ingredients. The ambroxan in the base of this fragrance offers a skin like quality, as if the fragrance is oozing from within you. The green aromatic notes from the pear and tea, referring to the stem of the tuberose conjure up the feeling of walking bare foot through dewy grass before dawn, as intoxicating tuberose bloom around you.

What we love the most about this fragrance is its point of difference compared to other tuberose scents. The crisp ginger and pear notes refine the heady sweetness this carnal flower usually offers, creating an uplifting and almost green fragrance. From the first spray, the visceral image of an intoxicating field of tuberose at night is prevalent. Similar to Radical Rose, Aurelien Guichard wanted to honour the flower in its entirety from its sweet nectar to its stem, you really experience the entirety of this creamy and dreamy floral.

Debuted in 2019, Matiere Premiere (or “Raw Materials” in French) is the work of renowned nose and master perfumer, Aurélien Guichard.
The core objective of the Matiere Premiere range is to put a spotlight on some of the most precious fragrance materials from around the world, and to hero the beauty and elegance of a single note fragrance.
A 7th generation perfumer born in Grasse (arguably the perfume capital of the world), Aurélien Guichard has a passion for fragrance running through his veins. He has been the nose behind nearly one hundred fragrances and has worked with brands such as Givenchy, Narcisco Rodriguez, Gucci and Commes de Garcons.
Guichard is also the owner of an organic farm where he produces Rose Centifolia and Tuberose, some of which is used in the Matiere Premiere line, making it one of the only brands in the world to own and produce some of the raw materials used in their fragrances.
