A fragrance that dives into the transgressive art of self-expression. With the tropical vibrancy of mango, the exotic allure of jasmine, and the creamy sensuality of tuberose, it allows a bold world to flourish, where individuality thrives. Fashion, music, cinema, literature and fragrance intertwine to celebrate freedom and creativity. Boy by day, girl by night—this scent invites you to break the rules and defy expectations. Come as you are.

Room 1015 founder Dr Mike’s muse for Jasmine Freak (and face of the campaign) is Dagger Polyester, a musical act from L.A. whose music can best be described as a new school take on punk, new wave, and glam rock. Their genderless stage presence is all about playing characters through musical performance, exemplified by their strikingly eccentric makeup and outfits.

HOW IT WEARS
Beginning with an explosion of tropical fruity sweetness from juicy mango, blackcurrant and sweet orange, Jasmine Freak is garnished with just a crack of black pepper before revealing its floral heart. Plush and heady, the heart notes of Jasmine Freak of course feature jasmine, who dances hand-in-hand with honeyed ylang ylang and bubblegummy tuberose. Underpinned by silky-smooth cashmere woods, the top, middle and base notes persevere throughout the entirety of Jasmine Freak’s wear, oscillating between the fruits and the florals. With bold projection and great lasting power, we get 6-8 hours of wear out of this fragrance.

LORE LOVES
We are obsessed with the sense of flamboyance and fun Jasmine Freak has – honestly, we think it can best be described as “camp”. It’s unapologetically sweet, even a little effervescent and sparkly, and has a real sense of joy about it. We think Jasmine Freak really plays with the concept of gender as performance – it takes perfume notes typically associated with femininity, dials up the volume and saturation to the max, and invites  you to question what purpose gender norms play not only in fragrance, but society.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Room 1015 is a fragrance line unlike any other. Founded by Michael Partouche a.k.a. Dr Mike (a doctor in pharmacology, turned guitar player then visionary) this brand is all about the connection between scent and music.
The name is dedicated to the hotel on Sunset Boulevard in L.A. called the Continental Hyatt House, but better known as the “Riot House”. In the 1970s, its rooms were graced by the likes of The Who, The Doors, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin – who, like any self-respecting rock band did in the 70s, partied there until the walls shook. Keith Richards made Room 1015 famous (or infamous) by dropping a TV out of the window whilst his bandmate rode a motorcycle up and down the hallways.
So, the ethos of Room 1015 is all about trashing the hotel room of life. It’s about nostalgia for that period of freedom, sexual liberation, creative explosion, achievement of a “higher” consciousness (wink) and most importantly – rock ‘n’ roll.
Each Room 1015 fragrance is inspired by a pivotal moment in rock history – whether it’s the birth of British punk, the sex and drug revolution of the late 60s, The Beatles going to India for the first time, the groupies who lurked on Sunset in the 70s, or the scent of a tattoo parlour where your favourite band member got inked. Each scent has been designed to transport you there, and make you feel a part of it in the same way the music of that time does.
