With heady florals harmoniously layered into a perfectly balanced potion, Voodoo Lily contains patchouli for its rich, earthy and woody aroma, rose to provide uplifting, seductive properties, and a lily accord for its exotic, creamy, and hypnotic facets. The artful addition of grounding frankincense and meditative sandalwood creates an air of mystery as the scent develops into a dry-down of soldering incense.

HOW IT WEARS
Opening with a seductively spicy blend of juniper, coriander, black pepper and geranium, as Voodoo Lily’s corolla unfolds, the more floral yet still deep and velvety notes appear. Rich, dark rose is emboldened by blackcurrant, freshened ever so slightly by the lily accord. The dry down reveals creamy sandalwood and animalic oud, lending the scent an opulent (but still witchy) feel. The lasting power and projection of Voodoo Lily is magical, it will give you 6-8 hours of wear.

We are absolutely obsessed with Voodoo Lily at Lore! Its DNA reminds us of some of Heretic’s most iconic and loved scents – like a more floral Scandalwood or a less earthy Dirty Violet. There is something so distinctly mystical about the scent, it has an allure about it that’s hard to put into words. For us it immediately brought to mind the story of iconic New Orleanian herbalist, voodoo practitioner and healer, Marie Laveau. Known as the Voodoo Queen of Louisiana, she became famous in the 1800s for her use of flowers, herbs, and incense in the practice of magic… and beauty. Voodoo Lily is what we imagine she and her apothecary smelt like. Beguiling, mysterious, and undeniably magical.
