The best bit about being a niche perfumery is how immersed we are in the weird and wonderful world of fragrance. The more out-there a fragrance is, the more we love it! Experimental blends, weird notes, peculiar stories, odd bottles – this is our bread and butter.
That’s why we love niche brands so much – they have the freedom to do the things big commercial designer houses can’t. Commercial brands have board members that need to see numbers, celebrities who need payment for endorsements, and to appeal to as many consumers as they can. Niche brands however have the ability to focus on the art of perfume.
So, we thoroughly celebrate the ethos of niche fragrance. The freedom to be who you want to be, create what you want to create, and to make no apologies for it. Whether it’s loved or hated, it will always be memorable.

We had to start this list off with an Alessandro Gualtieri fragrance of course. This perfume explores the smell of sex, and is inspired by the scent a female egg emits to attract sperm. Musky, slightly sweet, almost milky, this scent is dirty, carnal, and impossible to resist.

Its name in Latin meaning “the body of a horse”, Corpus Equus is an ode to this spirited, majestic animal. Meeting somewhere between the smell of a stable, a saddle, and the horse itself, this fragrance is smoky, leathery, full-bodied and completely compelling.

Sonar is inspired by the musical festival of the same name, held in Barcelona. Designed to encapsulate the experience of the festival, with bright vivacious floral and citrus notes blended with a beer accord and the metallic, mineral scent of the stage and electrical wires.

Inspired by the Joseph Conrad novel, Heart of Darkness, Coeur de Noir considers the relationship between the sea and the art that it has inspired. It’s the scent of black ink on paper, of spilled spiced rum on a leather-bound book, and smoky yet sweet tobacco.

Meaning “disgrace” in German, Blamage is about embracing your failures and mistakes. This scent with over 200 notes is the result of the perfumer Gualtieri combining all of his “failed” perfumes and discovering that together they produced a beautiful, compelling aroma!

A more macabre fragrance most definitely not for everyone, Funeral Home is the cold and clean scent of white floral funeral wreaths, combined with fresh cut mahogany.Some people even detect a hint of formaldehyde – or is it just the scent association talking?

A scent inspired by the experience of getting a tattoo – blood, ink, the sterile scent of green soap mingling together. A combination of dirty and clean in the best way, this scent embarks on a real journey on the skin as it wears, much like a tattoo!

One of our more out-there fragrances for sure, Stercus translates to “dung” in Latin. This perfume is smooth and leathery, animalic and dirty…but in a good way. It’s the scent of life, the scent of being in nature – sweat, animals, dung, leather, hay, tobacco, and woods.

An exploration of Andrea Maack’s fascination with the supernatural world, Coven is wild, untamed and enthralling. Like a mossy path leading into sparse Icelandic woodlands to a place where witches meet, this fragrance is the scent of soil, moss, trees and magic.

The ultimate cannabis fragrance that doesn’t aim to exactly replicate the scent of maijuana, rather to encapsulate the feel of it. It has a cleanliness to it that is really pleasant – like an ex-stoner who now has a corporate job and wears suits, but will still have a cheeky toke every so often.
