Funeral Home is a blend of classic white flowers including lilies, carnations, gladiolus, chrysanthemums with stems and leaves, with a hint of mahogany and carpet.
This scent was originally supposed to be “Flower Show”. However, Demeter’s perfumer personally did not like most white flowers, so he was finding it a tough fragrance to develop. When the founder, Christopher Gable, smelled it one he exclaimed: “it smells like my Grandfather’s funeral… call it Funeral Home!”. So they did.
HOW IT WEARS
Funeral Home begins as a crisp, green/white floral, with lilies and chrysanthemums particularly noticeable. As it settles however, it starts to get a little musty, and you can pick up a melancholy coldness in the composition. This fragrance has great lasting power and projection for an EDC.
LORE LOVES
This scent has been a cult fave for decades, both for Demeter and Lore. We have actually had a few morticians come in store and say they can smell a hint of formaldehyde in it! A great option for someone that wants a floral with a morbid, melancholy twist.
